I don't know if you were wrong. Perhaps it's a matter of perspective. But personally, I think I'd have tried to swallow my anger & just be glad the guy showed up at all. Based on what you wrote, it sounds as though he wouldn't have had to. As my father used to say: "Discretion is the better part of valor." Hope you got your tire problems taken care of in the end.
