Know the feeling... my place is a pigsty. Oddly, I'm motivated to clean the kitchen (which I share with my roommate) ... but not motivated to clean my own room, which I *know* needs to be done... soon!
What about doing it in small pieces? Like identifying what needs to be done (like taking out the garbage, doing dishes, doing laundry) and do those first? And then take a break (self-care, try to do something enjoyable) and then try to go onto another task (like maybe washing or vacuuming the floor)?
