I did! I was able to take my 13 year old son with me as well. We visited the Statue of Liberty and my son was able to go all the way up into the crown. We also went to the 9/11 memorial and One World Trade Center. We stayed at an Airbnb in New Jersey - and I drove my car into NYC - it worked out well, but parking was pretty expensive - still better than taking the subway, though. It was a great trip!
