Soupe forgot to add a question, so I'll answer yours again, Nammu.
Where would I live...that's a tough one. Well, sort-of tough. I would live in a city. And I would have to be financially very secure, because being poor is bad enough, but being poor in a city is a real misery. Plus, if I was wealthy I could travel and if I could easily travel I'd travel to Ireland and to the UK. And on occasion, to NYC.
Really, I suppose I'd live in either Sacramento, where I came from, or I'd live in San Francisco. I suppose I'd choose SF because I could go to the ocean almost any time I wanted to. So which neighborhood. I'd likely choose the Haight-Ashbury district - which is not the kind of place, anymore, it's most famous for. After SF's dark days during the '70's (much like NYC's) the Haight-Ashbury District was pretty much entirely renovated. The homes/townhouses/flats there now are so beautiful (and crazy-expensive) and the businesses are fun & creative. Coffeehouses, bookshops, unique boutiques. The houses are creatively decorated, furnished beautifully, and so on. And that neighborhood borders Golden Gate Park, which is very lovely and also has fabulous museums & sights. And events. Also, the H-A District is very close to the ocean.
Question:
What special place do you like to visit whenever you have the chance?
