We don't have Aldi's or Tim Horton's here. Seems weird. We have Trader Joe's. Costs a fortune. We have Nugget, where I shop. It's somewhat pricey but the place is incredible, what they have in stock and the staff are so sweet. They have tons of free samples for HABA (health and beauty aids) and a nice little cafe in the store. Their espresso is excellent, not crap. We have Raley's, Safeway, Bel Air (hate that place), Walmart. Walmart grocery stores are so filthy I won't shop there, but David does because he loves bargains. We have La Superior. David shops there because he speaks Spanish pretty well. That's all I can think of. Oh, in the city I come from there's a family owned grocery store called Corti Brothers. Old-fashioned, the original kind of upscale specialty grocery store. Sometimes I miss it. Mostly I don't, because the guy who owns it now, the grandson of the original owner, his wife Helen is racist. She disgusts me (she used to be my neighbor).
It's been raining, which is wonderful. I had a tech scheduled to come out today to try to fix my internet issues. Over the week-end the internet was working well, so I cancelled the tech visit. The rain started and I suppose the old lines here got wet. Internet down literally every 4 - 5 minutes all. effing. day. My nerves are shot and my stomach hurts. I have to do work online, which is impossible when the internet keeps going down. Unplug modem. Restart computer. Repeat. Repeat. All day since 6 a.m. I called half-hysterical so a tech is coming out tomorrow.
I have a phone appointment with med dude at 5 p.m. I have to do something because I am badly depressed and obsessing over everything. Either that or I'm losing my mind from my internet issues.
Yesterday I met an angel in the Nugget Market parking lot. I deeply regretted not bringing her back to my apartment, because I have clothes to give to her. And I could have given her some food.
Wow, the internet has stayed connected for a whole 5 minutes.
