I know backstabbing is never a good thing, I don't like it when people do it to begin with but I have noticed that some people backstab behind your back and other s do it right in front of you even if they're acting like you're not there. I know lots of people say it is rude to do it in your presence which of course it is but the same time it is rude to do it in your absence too, I'd honestly prefer people to do it when I'm there since the reason is because you know how they feel about you by that point and there's no chance of you being wrong.

When it's done in your absence then despite you having a gut feeling you're being talked about, there's always that very small chance you're actually wrong. I actually prefer people to do it to my face since then I know for certain that they don't care for me and I know I should stay away from them, I know it's not pleasant to have people say stuff about you while they sit next to you as if you don't exist but at the same time you know where you stand in their eyes.
