This is true. I have to tell myself I'm valuable and I matter, because in the US both mental health and unemployment are stigmatized. Even with COVID, one is expected to still find work.
The US is a brutal culture. I don't get why anyone wants to come here, and I get why they leave. I wish I could.
Certain occupations were considered "essential" by the government when COVID hit, then everyone else was considered "non-essential". How's that for a slap in the face??? We are ALL ESSENTIAL. We ALL MATTER.
