Lately I haven't been able to do much food for both emotional and physical reasons. I don't really keep track of calories much. I try to stay around 1500. 1800 is ok but is pushing it. If I have something at 1AM I count it for the day before. Idk its just different now. I do more intutive eating now I suppose.
Calories aren't created equal.

You can count your calories to reach your 1800 mark... but if you're not putting food of value into your body, then those 1800 calories have no nutritional value whatsoever!

I do understand the disadvantages of being unsure of what to eat, but that's why you could turn your attention to a nutritionist, through your GP.
Then the calories that you eat (Good fats- protein and carbs) actually mean something and your goal of getting healthier with body changes actually has a chance of happening.

As it stands now your calorie counting means nothing when you're not putting food of purpose into your body.
