Hey, do you have Yahoo! ? You could log in to the Yahoo! Toolbar, and turn on your popup blocker that way...

I still get popups from time to time even with my popup blockers, one on Yahoo! and another on my (its either my) firewall or virus protection.

You could check there, but then your friend may not want you to do that either...
