I have trouble keeping up with chores too. I felt better when i lived with my mother, even though she was mean to me and didnt want me there. I got out when i received disability, but that was after i had worked for 30 years.

While i was at my mom's house, i worked in her garden. I dont have any kind of gardening experience. Its just a matter of doing what needs to be done to make it neat. My mom used to throw out some kind of squash or melon into the garden which resulted in horrendous vines wrapping around the roots of her rose bushes, stunting them. I took it upon myself to clean up the roses roots and they revived, after a few months of my work. It made me feel good even if my mother didnt appreciate it.

Many philosophers say that the key to a happy life is to find a project for yourself. This garden could be your project. You could learn so much about life from it. It could change your life if you let it.
Very wise. I’ve also read somewhere that another key is to look forward to something. It could be small. One one hand it’s nice to live in the present but having something to plan for (big like a trip or small like a new dish to try) is exciting and keeps one going
