I've never heard of anyone who had pain during a colonoscopy. Did she say why she was told not to come back?

I've had a number of colonoscopies, since my mother had colon cancer and an aunt did.

Just be prepared to sit on the pot a lot after taking the laxative product. I agree about products such as Miralax. The "go-litely" stuff didn't work well for me. The test itself is not a big deal, as folks are saying. I even got to see pictures of the inside of my colon. Ha!

A friend of mine died at age 54 of colon cancer. She'd never had a colonoscopy, but started recommending that everyone get them.

It could be you just have hemmorhoids (sp?) . They could explain blood in your stool. I've had that problem.

Honestly, it's not the most exciting thing to go through, but it could be a great relief to you and even a life saver! Okay?
