When I was around 7, I was friends with a couple of boys in my year and we used to play a game we called "Explorers". I can't remember exactly how it went, but I think one of us went out into the playground and pretended to be a wild animal - the other two would be explorers who discovered this animal and captured it. They'd lead the animal into the veranda near the door - the animal's "enclosure" - and would try and tame it.
I'd also play pretty much the same game with my sister and two friends we went to the swimming pool with once a week - this time, though, two of us would be whales and the other two would be scientists. The enclosure was the shallow end of the pool, I think.
Oh, and with the same friends at the pool we'd also play a game involving us pretending to be dogs...can't remember much about it, though.
This takes me back!
