I WAS always quiet growing up but it wasn't because I was abused. I always thought how stupid my dad sounded discussing things with people he knew nothing about. I didn't want to sound stupid like that so I kept quiet, listened & learned & soaked in my mind what I really thought to myself. No longer like that & now I speak my mind because I now have confidence in what I know.
No one wondered why I was quiet either but everyone commented about it. Not sure I even understood at that time that was why I was quiet....something I didn't realize until later in life
