I have a silly fear of moths. No idea why, just freaks me out. A couple months ago I made myself hold one and the little guy just chilled in my hand for the longest time, then I said okay we're good.
When I was little I had this crazy fear of Michael Jackson. I couldn't listen to his music and I was always afraid we'd meet on the street. Again, no idea why, but I'd start screaming whenever I saw his photo or see him on TV. He was odd, though. Like with the moth, long after he passed away I made myself listen to his music. Now I can somewhat appreciate his music.
I have a fear of losing my eyes or have something horrible happen to my eyes. That's a very serious phobia in my books, one that can interfere with my daily life if I let it. I try to remind myself that the majority of people have nothing wrong happen to their eyes by the time they're old.
I have the fear of having COPD or having a tracheostomy because until two months ago I was a chainsmoker. I am still at risk for developing COPD but the longer I go without smoking the less likely I'll have this issue.
