I am still able to function insofar as I have continued to work full time, exercise, socialise and try out some new things, but I can't shake intense feelings of sadness that overwhelm and my mood is really down. Curious to know how long other people went through similar feelings after they were divorced and what worked for them. Thank you
The fact that you can still work and keep busy is usually what many people have a hard time doing after a divorce. Your already doing what mostly needs to be done, and that is SURVIVE ! But the emotional distress has to be dealt with. And it seems like this is where you need the help. Have you've been able to talk about your feelings with friends , family ,
or anyone else ? It may be time to find a therapist or some professional who may be able to help you cut thru the sadness and / or depression. Remember, there is really no timetable for grief.
