I remember 1999 being the fear year for y2k because it changed from 19 to 20 but nothing happened so a few die hards said the computers would freak out in 2000, and of course computers being the cool logical creatures they are just went on as business as usual. In 1999 there were cool countdown gismos that predicted catastrophe. Wish now I would have bought one. Haha a piece of history about fear of arbitrary numbers.
