Nammu- I hope you can figure something out with your mom. As my grandpa aged he fell a few times and ended up getting a walker which helped out tremendously (although he couldn't go outside easily because of the step in the doorway which I see is the problem in your house). A walker could still be useful for the rest of the house. Maybe two walkers? One for the living room and one for the rest of the house so at least she can get around inside?
