Keep calling. He's not doing his job. I hope you get a call tomorrow. When you do call tomorrow, be sure to inquire as to his policy about returning med calls. She should not be telling you he will return your call, if she knows he won't.

Calling the on-call doc is ok and doesn't have to be an emergency. Just explain the situation, he won't return your many calls, and you need an answer. Then maybe your pdoc's on-call pdoc will light a candle under his butt to get him to handle his patients during the day, so he/she doesn't have to at night.

In the meantime, why don't you give your pharmacist a shout and ask him/her your question?

If you don't get any satisfaction from your new pdoc, you may have to look for a "newer" pdoc.

Good luck!
Best,
Okie

PS I just read this post and I've totally messed up all the pronouns, but I hope you get my message in spite of this!
