I was diagnosed late in adult life. I am currently trying different meds. So far, not a fan. Even if you don’t use meds, having a diagnosis helps you validate yourself as a person. I now know I am not stupid (not completely), not just lazy, not alone, I understand why I frequently do things the “hard way”, I have developed amazing coping skills, and it led to an additional diagnosis that I have suffered from petit mal seizures all my life and did not know it.
