I dunno; it seems like he was trying to be nice by sharing with you that he had a nice time. Maybe the emphasis was yours, not his? You know, magnified by your mind?

It's easy to think that other people can read our minds about how we feel, but they can't, not even the best of them. He's probably not willing to make promises that he can't possibly guarantee can be kept, which is a good sign, IMO. I'm sure he wouldn't have called you insufferable, unless he was trying to make light of a situation.

I wouldn't take it too seriously. I don't think he meant that you were insufferable, but rather that he ALSO sees you weekly. *shrug* I think you'll get a letter from him. He seems like he cares to me, but I don't know him or anything... maybe in your raw state from the 16 days separated and the cancellation that your seeing things more darkly than they are?
