Hey Brian, they do have different kinds of face masks you can try and I believe they have one that just goes over the nose if that might help. I would talk to the company that is providing the cpap to you and find out what your options are.

I'm not the type that freaks out easily with anything like that but I do remember waking up in a panic a number of times with the mask over my face. It took about a week for me to get used to it and train my brain that it was ok to have it there. As with anything....time and practice should help.

I also remember them telling me that if I had to work up to a full night with it on by going a few hours at a time every night...like starting off with 3 hours, then 4 then 5 etc etc....that seemed to help me a lot too.
