This ^^^. Exactly. The example I mentioned, having many tattoos...maybe some people look at me and think I look trashy. The truth is that my tattoos were done by talented artists. I was working back then and could afford to pay nicely for body modification. If people cop attitude to me, it's their ignorance - and more than that even, their fear - and I'm sorry they don't know more about body art. I'm doubly sorry they don't accept that being creative is a great gift. So I walk proud.
Perhaps there is someone(s) in your life who has told you you're "less than" and you're carrying that person's ignorance as your own.
