I can understand how you'd feel odd about that comment. Honestly, though, I wouldn't be surprised if someone said that to my own son or daughter if we were in a pharmacy together, and they're adults. The lady probably saw you with your mom...you know, when you're behind a counter you have an overview of what's going on in front of you.
