I'm sorry to hear about your discomfort. I used to get a weird feeling in my eyes. It felt like they were itchy or gritty, like you mentioned, and that I had to rub them to make them feel better. But I noticed that after I rubbed them, my vision was worse or "altered" in some way. I think it may have had something to do with my medicine. Recently, it appears to have subsided/normalized.
