Oh, oh, oh - speaking of med prescribers. S. (formerly known as med dude) finally agreed to 5mg Zyprexa. WOW. Like super WOW, man. Groovy! FIVE WHOLE MILLIGRAMS 
BUT. Here's the thing. I asked his MA (she's super sweet) how long S. has been prescribing psych meds. Well, she said, he's been at the clinic for almost a year, but before that he worked in a psych ER.
OH. No wonder he uses the "box" diagnosis concept & is suspicious of every med.
Anyway, I flat-out asked the MA if there's another prescriber at the clinic. Guess what, there is. And I can see her if I wish. However, S. will know. So I'm hanging on to that appointment in late February with the pdoc at my regular clinic (the Native Indian clinic).
(Will the real pdoc please stand up?)
So in the meantime I've won the tug-o-war for the 5mg Zyprexa and I've raised the Prozac to 30mg on my own. And yes, of course I feel so much better, more stable. So I'll work that in, too, somehow, probably with the new pdoc.
