The poor woman was grieving so hard and instead of suggesting decent options the group expert tells her such an awful thing. I replied to her about how I felt about her awful comment. Of course, both her and my comments were removed, which was just as well. But I am feeling horribly triggered about some things and just really upset.

I'm in a few cat groups on Facebook as well and some people can be so heartless on there. The majority of people are wonderful and nice, supportive but occasionally you see a really heartless comment and it makes you wonder why people have to be that way, it kind of sticks with you, I see comments occasionally on post that are memorial posts of people's pets they had to put down due to diseases, and saw a few random comments with just the word: why? . Like why comment that after someone has gone through making the difficult desicion to help a beloved pet to not suffer anymore, it's a memorial post, they don't need people asking them why. They are grieving
