It’s very hard to cope with when we don’t know what we’ve done to elicit this kind of behaviour and it’s confusing, I’ve experienced this a few times over the years from my sister too. In our case it’s normally transpired that she just couldn’t ‘cope’ with whatever situation and she would just shut me and my parents out, this was in mature adulthood too. This might or might not be a comfort to you to know others experience it, I know. I care about my sister too, and like I guess you so much of who we are is in our childhood patterns.

What I’m trying to say I guess is that it’s almost always something deep within them, an inability to cope, that makes them shut others out in this way. It feels awful though to be on the receiving end.
