Your salmon with wild rice sounds good. I actually have salmon I was going to make tonight, but I was just too tired. Tomorrow. I wish I had wild rice on hand, but I don't.
I usually always bake my salmon, unless I'm making something like a Teriyaki salmon preparation.
I agree that baking it makes it nice and sometimes slightly crunchy on top.
