The only way to deal with it is to establish boundaries. You don’t have to agree to them pleading

No, sorry, can’t come in. Taking care of elderly relative on Saturday. Going out of town. Repair crew is coming in. Furnace inspection (mine is always on Saturday). Babysitting my niece. Driving my sick aunt to an appointment. I have my own doctor appt.

My GP works on Saturday. So does my gyn. In fact most of my appts are always on Saturdays as that’s when I don’t work. Don’t even have to have bogus reasons. I have actual reasons not to be free to work. You might have them too

If they mandate you, then it’s different. But if they are just pleading, then say no. You don’t have to be available
