No need to ask him to come back. Things not going well isn’t s good reason. What happens when you get a job, get health insurance and are in a better mental and physical shape? Will you ask him to leave again? Think long term.

Same as molinit I think that you need a job matching your skill set even if it might not be as high pay. Anyone can get any job if they interview well. The trick is to be able to do the job and keep a job. Look for a job you can for sure do. Not being paid top dollar is sadly what many of us face. I pretty much never made what I really needed to make. But you adjust. Work second job, rent or buy smaller place, move etc Looking for a job that is a “stretch” isn’t a long term solution. It will not end well
