an antique picture... in an antique frame... and it is of a girl.. about 12... is a large picture...

the look... in the girl's eyes... her body language... haunts me

it is "the look".... of the sexually abused...

she is very beautiful... in her way.....as are all people

to look at her...... is to know......

this very real girl... alive years and years ago... enduring sexual abuse... so very haunting...

I have decided to buy the picture... and hang it... my home full of antiques... she belongs... my "things"... have all been "owned" before.. they come with their history.. their own stories.. so she will be at home.. and at rest.. in a beloved home..

my "things" owned.. by someone else.... as I once was "owned" by someone else..
