So, I emailed my most recent boss, admitting to him that I have fibbed out what happened there. He said, if contacted, he will speak to my strengths, but will not lie, if asked a direct question. He also told me that he has zero animosity towards me.
So, I had been guided by my best girlfriend to reach out and do some damage control because I had lied. She thought it was best to be honest with my boss about lying, and to alert him, in case this prospective employer contacts him to ask questions about me.
So, that's that.
