Box breathing is inhaling for a count to four. Holding for a count to four. Exhaling for a count to four. Holding for a count to four. Repeat four times (for a total of 5 times).
Deep breathing to me is different although I am not an expert. Deep breathing is engaging the diaphragm. It doesn't necessarily require me to hold my breath. Breathing where I see my tummy go in and out as I inhale and exhale.
