I'm glad you are feeling better. Just having other people around you can sometimes break the hold of a bad depressive episode. Three years ago I was alone with dangerous thoughts and ended up going inpatient. It made such a difference and got me over a bad hump. You made a good decision.
Nine years ago I got into a "partial hospitalization program" where I went there 5 hours a day, 4 days a week. That greatly relieved dark thoughts I was having. Ask the staff if there is anything like that you could transition to.
