@Therapy reviewed it sounds so rough to be stuck in those loops.
My own mind is very active. I used to see catastrophes everywhere and always worried about them. I started doing journals of what is going right in my life. It was not an overnight success, but slowly I started to get more positive things to think about. When I caught myself catastrophizing then I directed myself to see what is going right.
I also found a low carb high protein diet with frequent healthy snacks alleviated one cause of anxiety, low blood sugar. Some people like myself over metabolize sugar and carbs so that the more carbs I eat I get really sleepy. I think this might relate to low blood sugar. This does not happen since I cut out sugar and heavy carb meals and snacks.
Another option some people explore is medicines by going to a psychiatrist because some anxiety conditions are due to brain dysfunction which meds can help cope with it.
