I know this post is random, but I'm scared. I have a pdoc appointment on the 15th and was thinking about asking my pdoc to wean me off diazepam. I had a VERY rough time when a different pdoc took me off clonazepam, and an even worse rime last year when I had to go inpatient for psychosis and was taken off my diazepam cold turkey.

I'm very sensitive to med changes. Anything can put me over the edge into SUI and overdoses.

Has anyone had experience going inpatient for getting off a benzo? I think I'd have to go inpatient for this for my own safety.

I want to get off diazepam because I don't want to be on a controlled substance.

I'm just scared of benzo withdrawal!!
