I drove to the town to get my eye exam. The drive over was absolutely beautiful. Blue sky, big, fluffy clouds, and in the almond orchards the trees are in full bloom. Wildflowers aren't out yet, they will be by next week.

The town is a large university town, chaotic with cars, bikes, people everywhere. The exam took a long time, but it's done. The doctor thinks she sees holes in my retinas, so I have to be seen by an ophthalmologist, and know what? I think the Topomax I was on caused problems with my retinas. That was the med that caused me to see the little gold lights at the periphery of my vision. The stuff is well known to cause serious optical problems for some people. When I told S. he was all snarky about it, and denied it. He did, however, tell me to stop taking it - and when I did, the lights went away. I think he was afraid because he prescribed the stuff. Really, WHY is it still on the market?!

I think consumers can call the FDA and report a med side effect. If so, I am going to do that. Too much coincidence. God help us all, being on these meds that cause such damage to our bodies.
