I was just notified that I got the volunteer position at PetSmart working with taking care of the cats there. Their litter, food , blankets, etc. I will work there on every Tuesday from 10am to 12pm.
I was just randomly checking my email and saw an email from the person that said they were looking through applications and wanted to know if I’d like the position
I wasn’t sure if I’d hear from them after I put my application in a couple weeks ago.
So I’ll be doing that position and then occasionally helping out at a different place near here to kitchen prep/serve meals to the community

That sounds like such a rewarding thing to offer the little kitties. They will surely thank you so much for it.
Just today I was looking at websites here in Czech Republic for cat adoptions. Most of the places are ones that take in stray cats or kitties whose human parent was no longer able to care for them (or passed on). The Czech people at those places weren't that great at marketing them, though. I was shocked by how they referred to some as "brats" and other negative names. It is the case that many are being nursed for horrible maladies from being strays, and even PTSD. I imagine the cats at PetSmart are hopefully healthy. It is a hard decision for me in terms of wanting to help an animal in distress, or maybe being incapable of handling such a responsibility.
