My pdoc says it's from my depression. I'm definitely not manic. Writing brings me short term relief from the depression - it's much better when I'm really focused on writing. When I'm not writing, the depression comes back full force.

I wrote a lot when I was younger, but that stressed me so much out and was not good for me. Instead I made both days and nights into parts with specific goals to meet. The goal for the night was this: "My goal is not to sleep, only to relax and stay in bed between time X and time Y. It didn't go many nights before I slept through the whole night.
Do what is right for you! (You know best).
