I also hope you discussed exclusivity if you are already intimate. If not, I’d ask directly. I’d not just assume. In general it’s just fine to ask direct questions. If someone gets spooked, well maybe it’s for the best then. What are they hiding if they are afraid of questions? If someone asked me what my plans are, I’d not get spooked.
