Idk if it’s me or if I have bad luck, but I seem to attract selfish self absorbed people who I mostly meet online. I’m on the verge of giving up on even trying to make new friends as I’m extremely annoyed & upset that rhis keeps happening to me.

They were all middle aged woman who literally couldn’t stop talking about themselves, their health issues & their problems, ugh!!!

Two of them even knew thet were talking yo much as they said, oh, I’m talking a lot, what about you? Then they’d use whatever I told them after not even expressing much interest in anything to go back to talking about themselves. Ex: I told one lady I used to live in S. Ca. She then said she used to live there too.

It was obvious that I was only asked one question out of fake politeness rather than genuine interest.

These women need therapists, not friends, lol. I’m shy & introverted, but I can talk about myself still.

Is there a reason why these women never ask me anything about myself? Is there any polite way to ask these women why they never ask me anything?

I already deleted & blocked a few of these annoying women on my phone. I’m not that desperate for friends, lol. Next time I’ll cut our meeting short & say that I have to go & then never talk to them again, lol.
