If they didn’t officially gave you some type of letter or official statement that states you are actually hired as an assistant manager, it’s very likely that after training to be a groomer they’d expect you to be a groomer. They’d say there is “an opportunity” to become an assistant. And they’ll be off the hook as they never even give you anything in writing in regards to your specific position. Did you even do W -4. Was salary discussed? They play some kind of games and I think you maybe dodged a bullet here
