Any ideas on what I can tell myself so I can just walk away from those that really aren't my closest?
Please get rid of those so called friends. Either they’re using you, are feeling sorry for you, or they have a hard time making friends. No offense to you. Just saying those are possibilities.

Try making new friends at school. Take some classes like an art class or something like that. Do volunteer work, join meetup.com.

Find friends on nextdoor.com. Ask people to introduce you to their friends. Meet people online too.

It’s hard to make friends, but if I can do it, then so can you. I’m shy, introverted & I have social anxiety.

Maybe you feel like you can’t do any beyyer? Maybe it’s easier to stay in your comfort zone? It’s possible thst you’re sticking with what’s familiar? You were used to being the black sheep growing uo.
