Jen, I am so sorry that your appointment didn't go well. From what you told me that doc was a worthless piece of crap and must have plucked his diploma from the depths of a cracker jack box. There are other therapists out there that will understand you and respect you and your condition. Please don't loose faith. And in the mean time, you have friends here you can trust.
