Yes. It is expensive, $300 from a Canadian pharmacy if you do not have insurance. With insurance it costs me $25 per month and the insurance pays the manufacturer over $800.

You can gain the weight back, but I intend to take the medication for a long time, until even better medications become available and then I will switch. It is basically a lifelong treatment, but that makes sense because obesity is a chronic condition that can worsen if left untreated. But I am lucky to have insurance coverage.

I have lost about 20% of my body weight: I started at 276 lbs and now fluctuate between 216 and 221 lbs.
