This is off topic, but did you used to go by another name here? Seems I remember someone posting often in the Czech Republic (my ancenstry is nearly pure Czech with a bit of German, hence the blond hair) but maybe by a different name? IDK, I've been away for awhile (since 2020, according to my log-in earlier this week, and God knows, I don't trust my memory on bipolar.

It's nice to see you back here, @
Blueberrybook! I remember you from 2020 and a bit before.
I used to be a member here under the name BirdDancer, but that was quite a while ago. I likely mentioned my husband being Czech back then, but didn't move abroad until early 2021.
It's nice to read that you enjoyed the Strawberry Festival, even despite rain. I'm looking forward to local strawberries. They are mostly available in Czech Republic in June. Those lucky enough to own a bit of land also often have wild strawberries in their lawns. The little wild buggers are amazing tasting. I've read that they are native to the Alps. The word "strawberries", in Czech, is "jahody", with the "j" pronounced like the English "y". Among the favorite Czech sweet treats are jahodové knedlíky (strawberry dumplings). In many Czech households, they are even eaten as a whole lunch. An excuse to eat a greater number of them!
