Your wife’s inability to regulate her emotions motivated her to begin self medicating with alcohol. Then she began withdrawing and began going out with these other women who also drink and have decided to use men to get their needs met. So not only was there a problem with emotional regulation but that was further complicated by the self medicating with alcohol that became alcohol use disorder. Add to that this new life style of going to bars/clubs/casinos in an effort to get a dopamine high and look for guys to use is extremely unhealthy for you and your children to be exposed to.

It’s really best to continue to create a healthier safe environment for you and your children and to make sure your children get counseling.
