Could you get a referral to a better doctor from a trusted source?

I, myself, am without a family doctor as mine closed her practice, but she was very good and I'm sad I don't have her anymore. I hope we both find doctors like her: she was very knowledgeable, was an advocate for me, was comprehensive in her care, and sincerely cared about me and had grace, class and empathy.
