Hi Danialla,

First off, hugs ((((((((((Danialla))))))))))

Now, having attempted suicide several times, I've forced myself, in moments when I feel I have no reason to live, at least to find reasons I have not to DIE.

Emotional reasons:

1) No matter what you may feel at any given moment, there will ALWAYS be AT LEAST one person who will be crushed by losing you. In essence, you're giving your problems over to them. If you can't bring yourself to love yourself at a certain moment, at least find someone else you love and ask yourself, "Do I want to hurt this person?"

2) Suicidal ideation is always temporary. No matter how down and out you feel, the only place you can go is up, so biding your time will pay off in the end. Would you deny someone who wanted to live their right to live? Then don't deny your future self, who will almost certainly want to live at some point, that right.

I can give more, but I'm really exhausted, so I'm not thinking well. PM me if you'd like more emotional reasons not to kill yourself.

Now, if you're inclined to philosophy like I am, then you will find an excellent intellectual argument against suicide in Albert Camus's The Myth of Sisyphus . I love existential philosophy, and if you would like to find intellectual reasons not to kill yourself, look up some of the preeminent existentialists (Camus, Sartre, and my favorite, Simone de Beauvoir). A brief and somewhat lax synopsis of Camus: life is absurd. There is no inherent meaning. The only opportunity to find meaning is by providing your own. Killing oneself nullifies you're only venue to finding meaning, namely a constant rebellion against the absurdity of life. If you kill yourself, the Absurd wins.

I'm really wiped out, so that definitely wasn't a synopsis that did Camus justice. PM me if you wanna hear more.

But most importantly, know that people do care about you. Even if you don't always feel it (I know that feeling), people love you. We definitely care about you, and would not want to see you take your own life. Make sure to love yourself--you are deserving of your love.

Take care and keep fighting the good fight,

(((((((((((Danialla))))))))))))
