I always wondered why people thought money provided happiness. I always wondered why people thought luxury provided comfort. I always wondered why people thought guns and other weapons of mass destruction would keep them safe or promote peace. I always wondered why people thought drugs and alcohol would provide peace of mind or resolve issues in their lives. I always wondered why people weren't satisfied with "enough" - they always seem to want more. I always wondered why people never appreciated the simple things in life.

It's so sad to watch people suffer after a natural disaster like tornados, earthquakes, and hurricanes. It's so hard to watch them cry out for the simple things in life.
